Jeana Stanley joined Hearst Television in April 2004 as Controller of WBAL-TV, WBAL-AM and WIYY-FM "98 Rock" in Baltimore. She was promoted to the corporate headquarters as Director of Financial Planning in March 2007 and was named Vice President of Financial Planning in October 2010.
In her current role, Stanley works closely with Hearst Television executive and station management in the preparation of the annual budget, long range planning and monthly closing/forecasting. She provides operational and accounting expertise and guidance and supports the financial reporting process by identifying and analyzing key financial performance metrics.
Most recently Stanley has led the effort to centralize back office accounting functions and to establish regional technical accounting hubs. Jeana also provides management oversight of the Central Business Operations, including sales support and accounts receivable, and of the regional hubs.
Stanley joined Hearst after 15 years of local-television business management and external audit experience, having served as Business Manager at WKYC-TV and WUAB-TV in Cleveland, and WCPX-TV in Orlando, among other positions. Among other industry activities, she is a member of the Media Financial Management Association.
Stanley began her career at Ernst & Young and is a Certified Public Accountant. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo.
