Jonathan C. Mintzer is vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Hearst Television, Inc., formerly Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc. He has served within the television industry since 1981.
Prior to joining Hearst Television, Inc., Mintzer served since 1987 as a member of the Office of General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of The Hearst Corporation, the diversified media company which is Hearst Television, Inc.'s majority shareholder.
Before Hearst, Mintzer was general counsel of Group W Satellite Communications, a unit of Westinghouse Corporation and an innovator in cable and broadcast television programming and distribution. Before that, he was an assistant attorney general for New York State, serving in Manhattan.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, Mintzer holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
Mintzer is admitted to the New York state Bar and is also admitted to practice in the federal courts. He also is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
