Kathleen Keefe is Vice President, Sales, for Hearst Television, Inc., formerly Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc., overseeing sales efforts at the Company's 29 television stations.
Ms. Keefe previously was Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc. the television station group of the Washington Post Company. During a 14-year career at Post-Newsweek, she served in sales management at WFSB-TV, Hartford and KPRC-TV, Houston, before becoming general manager of WKMG-TV, Orlando. Among her accomplishments at the Post-Newsweek group, she oversaw the creation, development and implementation of a major television environmental campaign, "Get Down to Earth," which was nominated for a national EMMY Award.
Prior to joining Post-Newsweek, Ms. Keefe served as an Account Executive and then as a Sales Manager for MMT Sales, Inc., a leading television ad-sales rep firm. She began her career at Young & Rubicam, rising to the position of spot broadcast buyer.
Ms. Keefe is a graduate of Trinity College in Washington, D.C. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Television Bureau of Advertising, the International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) and the Media Ratings Council. She also serves as the Vice Chairman for the IRTS Foundation Board. She also has served as a director or advisor for numerous civic, charitable and industry organizations including Give Kids the World, Florida Hospital, American Red Cross, United Way, Galleria (Houston) Chamber of Commerce, Houston Advertising Federation, Ronald McDonald House, Greater Hartford Advertising Club and New England Broadcasters Association.
